Dear Little Readers,
Hi there! It’s me — Cami! I’m sending you a BIG hug wrapped in all your favorite colors (and maybe even a sparkle or two 🦎✨). I heard you’ve been reading my story at school, and I just had to write you a note!
First of all — WOW. You are amazing. Did you know that when you read my book, you were also practicing something super powerful? You were learning how to name your emotions — just like I had to when things felt too loud, too fast, or just too much. Sometimes, I feel like a swirl of so many emotions all at once! Do you ever feel like that too?
When my feelings start to swirl, I try to remember:
My emotions are messages — they help me understand how the world around me is making me feel.
Even big feelings don’t last forever — most only stay for about 60 seconds!
Naming my emotion helps me feel better — because once I understand it, I can decide what I need.
Oh! And guess what? I’m painting a new picture with my tail — it’s a surprise I’ll share in my next blog post! Can you guess what color I’m using today? (Hint: It’s the color of peaceful lakes and sweet blueberries!).
Stay aware, stay curious, and remember: Your feelings are never too big. You’re just the right size to feel them all.
With all my changing colors,
Your friend,
Cami the Chameleon
